Auto Trade EXPO postponed to May 7-8, 2022

The decision has been taken to postpone the Auto Trade EXPO from October this year to May 7th.-8th., 2022.

The decision was based on the best public health advice available, as well as the expected rate of vaccination rollout in the coming months. In our best judgement, we believe that we would not have been able to deliver the Auto Trade EXPO experience that everyone has come to expect from this premium event. The forecasted level of restrictions to be in place by October this year, would prevent a proper environment in which to do business indoors in suitable numbers.

The health and welfare of the thousands of EXPO builders, exhibitors, visitors, exhibition/ hotel staff, contractors, and our team from Automotive Publications, as well as everyone’s respective families has been, and continues to be our top priority.

We thank all our exhibitors for their patience, continued support and commitment to the Auto Trade EXPO. All this week, we have been in contact with all those that have space booked (that’s over 80 per cent of the total area), and in a very strong expression of support for the EXPO, everyone to date has retained their booked space for the new dates.

We can now look forward to delivering a bigger and better Auto Trade EXPO in a safe and conducive environment in May next year. I believe that we can justifiably expect that life will have returned to a good level of familiar normality by then.

Another important reason to get everything right in relation to the Auto Trade EXPO is the massive appetite in the wider Irish auto aftermarket industry for a successful exhibition, and a focal point to drive businesses onwards and upwards. We will again provide circa 250 exhibitors and up to 9,000 auto trade professionals with a great marketplace to do business. All sectors and levels in the auto aftermarket will welcome the timely boost from a very successful event.

We have over 80 per cent of exhibition space already booked at this time. In addition, nearly 90 per cent of exhibitors have already confirmed this week that they are pleased to leave their bookings and deposits in place for EXPO 2022, retaining the rates and position originally booked. We will continue to try to make contact with the others exhibitors in the coming days. This clearly is a fantastic response and we thank our many exhibitors for their support for the very successful Auto Trade EXPO.

Please continue to follow the best health advice and we hope and pray to see you well and hearty, at Citywest in May 2022, if not before. We are still very much in this together, so please take care and keep yourself, and also those you care for, safe and well.

Many thanks and kindest regards,

Padraic Deane,
