The Irish Tyre Industry Association (ITIA) has liaised with the Road Safety Authority and NCT management to clear up some confusion in the implementation of tyre regulations at NCT centres, resulting in vehicles being failed in error.

News is breaking but is unconfirmed officially that the current Chief Operating Officer of Bus Eireann, Moyagh Murdock is to be appointed the new chief executive officer at the Road Safety Authority (RSA).

The Irish Tyre Industry Association (ITIA)  has put together a robust submission to the Road Safety Authority in response to their Public consultation document on part worn tyres.  The Association will continue to be against the sale and fitment of tyres of unknown history and serviceability, on safety grounds.
