Austone Tires entering European Truck Racing Championship
Austone Tires, represented in Ireland by Euro Tyre Sales, is set to enter the Goodyear FIA European Truck Racing Championship (ETRC), following the announcement that it will be the main sponsor of Garret Trucksport starting in 2025.
The team, led by driver Luke Garret, son of British truck racing icon Ross Garret, is starting its second ETRC full-starter season.
The three-year sponsorship contract includes financial support for the team and a tyre flat rate for the crew’s trucks.

Prinx Chengshan, the manufacturer of Austone Tires, expects this partnership will increase the brand’s visibility in the European market, with particular focus on the truck community.
“A presence in motorsport provides massive sales support for our B2B partners,” said sales director Adrian Costache.
“We have been successfully operating in Europe for several years. Compared to the brands that have been established for decades, we still have newcomer status,” added managing director Thomas Wohlgemuth.
“In addition, like Garret’s people, we are highly motivated and must be able to rely on top equipment and a perfectly coordinated team to achieve our ambitious goals.”
The European Truck Racing Championship was the first FIA series in the world to stipulate sustainable fuel, by using biodiesel HVO100 which reduces CO2 emissions by roughly 90 per cent.
In keeping with Prinx Chengshan’s sustainability goals, Garret Trucksport will also race on Austone’s retreaded Ringthread RTH 155, which, according to Wohlgemuth, is “as excellent as our TH 155 as a new tyre”.
The first round and season opener of the European Championship is in Misano, Italy, on 17th-18th May.
