Conti boss takes chair at BTMA
David Smith, Managing Director, Continental Tyres UK & Ireland has been appointed chairman of The British Tyre Manufacturers Association (BTMA).
Smith has a wealth of tyre industry experience having been UK managing director of Continental Tyres since 2007.
He says he is looking forward to helping to further develop the association and making sure that member’s interests remain at the heart of the association.
"By delivering an increasingly effective service, I am confident that we can help our members maintain and improve their competitiveness in both domestic and international markets,” he commented. |

In his new position, Smith will represent the BTMA on the board of the Tyre Industry Federation.
