New tyre pressure monitoring system launched in UK
A new tyre pressure monitoring system has been launched in the UK, which has the potential cut van, truck and coach operators’ fuel bills by between 5 and 10 per cent and extend tyre life by 30 per cent.
Tyresure says the system uses one high-precision sensor in each tyre to monitor tyre pressure and temperature and relay the back to the driver.
Tyresure says the kit is working well in Taiwan where all the Mitsubishi buses on the Taipei public transport service use it to successfully deliver savings on fuel and tyre bills and improved road safety.
"The unit can self-finance within the first year, simply on fuel and tyre savings alone," said Ian Smith, MD at Tyresure UK.
